There is 30.000 km of railway in Brazil. Most of the railroad is only used to transport cargo. There is still some passenger trains, which takes you on a train journey through some of Brazil's beautiful nature.

Serra Verde Express is 110 km railroad line from Paranagu to Curitibaa. The three hour train journey is mostly used by turists. The train takes you through 13 tunnels and 67 bridges and viaducts. The trip is beautiful and takes you form sea level to Curitiba, 934 m above sea level.
