FCA has the railroad line from Oruro to Villazon via Uyuni and tupiza. The line is used by Expreso Del Sur and Wara Wara Del Sur. Expreso Del Sur departures Tuesday and Friday from Oruro, and returns Wednesday and Saturday from Villazon. Wara Wara Del Sur departures Sunday and Wednesday from Oruro, Monday and Thursday it returns from Villazon. There is one international connection to Avaroa at the border to Chile, departures Monday and ruturns Thursday from Avaroa. The web page is only in spanish.

PeruRail is Peruvian railroad company. PeruRail runs the railraod form Cuzco to Puno, Cuzco to Aguas Calientes and Araquipa to Puno. The train from Cuzco to Puno takes you up to the alto plano and along the Lake Titicaca. There is two different classes on train named the Andean Explorer, backpacker class and the First Class. Between Cuzco to Aguas Calientes runs Hiram Bingham, a luxury train service. The train is quite expensive.

Train to the Clouds - Tren A Las Nubes is one of the highest trains in the world. The train is for tourists and leaves from Salta along the Valle de Lerma and gets into Quebrada del Toro and reaches the Puna. The train trip takes 15 hours, crossing 29 bridges, 21 tunnels and 13 viaducts making it a spectacular train journey 4200 m above sea level.

Serra Verde Express is 110 km railroad line from Paranagu to Curitibaa. The three hour train journey is mostly used by turists. The train takes you through 13 tunnels and 67 bridges and viaducts. The trip is beautiful and takes you form sea level to Curitiba, 934 m above sea level.
